Your pedorthic assessment will include:

Review of your activities, symptoms, and history
Gait analysis & virtual examination of your feet
Personalized treatment plan that may include off-the-shelf or custom orthotics*, footwear fitting, stretches, prevention tips, and/or follow-up and ongoing support.

David is a certified Occupational Therapist and Pedorthist of Canada. He graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta Rehabilitation Medicine, Occupational Therapy program in 1994. His professional experience includes Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Neurology. He received his certified Pedorthist of Canada designation in 2002 and has been specializing in this field ever since. His dual designation allows a comprehensive and multidimensional evaluation of a client’s needs.

David continues to be actively involved with the Occupational Therapy Master’s program at the University of Alberta by serving as a guest lecturer for over 10 years. He was recently nominated for the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine Clinical Teaching Award year 2020.

David supports his community with his extensive involvement with the Royal Alexandra Hospital diabetic foot clinic, the Glenrose Amputee Program, LifeMark Physiotherapy Clinic and supporting smaller communities and reserves outside the Edmonton region such as Vegreville, Enoch and Saddlelake. He is a valuable resource to other professionals such as nurses, physiatrists, general practitioners, physiotherapist, chiropractors and other students within the field.

Marvin is a certified Pedorthist Technician and Pedorthist of Canada. He obtained his certified Pedorthist Technician designation in 2004 and certified Pedorthist of Canada designation in 2006.

He possess a wealth of experience and knowledge, with over 18 years of clinical practice working in both the Edmonton & Calgary region. His commitment to exemplary patient care and skilled craftsmanship makes him a valuable asset to Orthotic Abilities.
